New Reception Intake 2021-22 - A Virtual Welcome from Mrs Brookes, Headteacher
Dear Prospective Parents/Carers,
Normally, at this time of year we would be opening our doors and inviting you in to see our wonderful school. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we are limited to what we are able to offer 2021 prospective parents/carers.
Gloucestershire County Council and our local headteacher associations have recommended that schools do not hold open days or evenings, as such gatherings could breach national guidance and also compromise the safe systems of infection control that schools have put in place to protect children and staff.
We know that choosing a school for your child is an important and difficult decision to make. We are also aware that you need to find out as much as you can about a school before making your choices for school places by 15th January 2021.
We are therefore planning to offer prospective parents/carers an opportunity to view a virtual tour of the school, which will include interviews with key members of staff and highlights of school life at Heron. The video will be accessible via this website shortly.
Whilst we are really disappointed to not be able to invite you into the school this year, we hope that our alternative arrangements will allow you to get a good insight into life at Heron.
